At ROVELLI, we believe that a good night's sleep is one of the most rewarding investments you can make in yourself. But rather than relying solely on what we believe, we prefer to look at the facts.
Introducing ROVELLI Sleep Lab
That's why we're launching ROVELLI Sleep Lab - a research project designed to explore how selected sleep metrics and participants' subjective experiences change after switching from their usual pillow to ROVELLI.
We're looking for 100 Apple Watch users to help us better understand the role a pillow plays in everyday sleep comfort.
Every participant who qualifies will receive a ROVELLI pillow free of charge.
You sleep. Apple Watch tracks. We draw conclusions.
Over 42 nights (6 weeks), you'll monitor your sleep using your Apple Watch.
The study is divided into three stages.
For the first two weeks, sleep as you normally do, using your current pillow.
Your Apple Watch monitors your sleep, while you can view your sleep metrics in the Health app.
This stage will establish a baseline for comparison later on.
Time for a change.
For the next four weeks, you'll use a ROVELLI pillow while continuing to monitor your sleep.
There's no need to change your daily routine. We want to observe your sleep in your natural, everyday environment.
After completing all 42 nights, you'll receive a message with a link to a questionnaire.
We'll ask you to compare selected sleep metrics from both periods and evaluate the comfort of your pillow.
You'll only need to complete the questionnaire once.
We won't ask you to provide your first name, last name, phone number or participant ID in the research questionnaire.
We're interested in both the data recorded by Apple Watch and your personal experiences.
Sleep metrics:
Your experience:
Apple Watch estimates sleep metrics based on sensor data. It is not a clinical sleep diagnostic device, so we'll interpret the results with the limitations of this technology in mind.
A ROVELLI pillow. Completely free.
Every participant who qualifies will receive a ROVELLI pillow to test in their own bedroom.
For four weeks, you'll be able to experience its comfort as part of your everyday sleep routine.
And the pillow is yours to keep after the study ends.
No deposit. No need to return it.
Because good things shouldn't have to be given back after 28 nights.
We're looking for 100 people who:
You don't need any knowledge of sleep medicine or data analysis.
All you need is an Apple Watch, a little consistency and an interest in understanding how you sleep.
Your privacy matters to us just as much as your sleep comfort.
The contact details you provide during recruitment will be used to assess eligibility, ship the pillows and communicate with you about the study.
In the final questionnaire, we won't ask for your first name, last name, phone number or participant ID.
All participants will receive the same questionnaire link.
We won't ask you to share your full Apple Watch health data history or grant us access to your Apple account.
We intend to publish the project's findings in aggregated form.
You can find detailed information about how personal data relating to recruitment and participation in the project is processed in our Privacy Notice.
Because we believe the best products are created when thoughtful design meets real user experience.
We want to find out how participants rate the comfort of our pillows and whether switching pillows is accompanied by changes in selected sleep metrics.
We're not making any assumptions about the results in advance.
Perhaps we'll discover something that will help us design even better pillows.
Or perhaps we'll find that comfort is more individual than we think.
Either way, it will be valuable knowledge.
The Craft of Sleep. Backed by curiosity.
